In California it doesn’t seem we are even broaching on fall yet. I am sure in other parts of the world (my Canadian friends) you are fully “in it.” Luckily for my counterparts in your transitional wardrobe you have many options, others of us still roasting down here…..will have to gravitate to our breezier options.

The biggest apparent trend in our Indian Summer is the 70s. Yes they are back around. High-waisted denim, lace, shawls and fringe. Fringe is a trend that seemed very “of the moment” last year, but it’s here to stay awhile!

Here are the top trends and how to wear them:

1. High-waisted Denim. How to wear ? With a crop or a slim fitting shirt tucked in.

2. Fringe. How to Wear ? Accessories are the best and easiest. Dying over this Saint Laurent fringe boots.

3. Shawls. How to Wear?  Layer and make it your statement piece. Choose a fun pattern or mixture of colors.

4. Bucket Bags. How to Wear ? This is your updated version of a cross-body purse.

5. The Maxi Dress. Although not a “trendy” piece – such a versatile one. Especially while transitioning through the seasons. Pair with a hat to dress up the look.

  1. I like high waist pants it seems they make my torso a bit longer? The black and white shawl is magnificent and so useful for day or evening. No Ca is already very cool at night, 70’s during mid day and then it drops to 50. I don’t see a lot people wearing hats around here but in my opinion “a hat” is never out of style.
